By default, CredSpark saves session information, so participants can resume where they left off if they navigate away and return later. While this is useful in many cases, you may prefer participants to always start fresh. The "Always Start Interaction from Scratch" feature in CredSpark allows participants to begin each interaction from the start every time they open it, regardless of previous progress.
This feature is available by request. Once enabled in your account, you can turn it on for individual interactions under "Additional Settings."
How “Always Start Interaction from Scratch” Works
When this feature is enabled, each time a participant opens the interaction—whether they reload the page or return another day—they will begin at the first question rather than seeing previous progress or the Results View. This is particularly useful when you want to use a single interaction, like a feedback survey, across multiple contexts, such as embedding it at the end of various articles or training modules. This approach allows you to collect all feedback data in one place while presenting the survey as a new experience each time.
Interaction Retakes with “Always Start Interaction from Scratch”
With this feature enabled, participants can retake the interaction multiple times, regardless of any existing retake limitations. The “Start Interaction from Scratch” setting overrides the retake settings, ensuring each interaction session appears fresh.
Note for Degreed users: If you are using this feature for interactions delivered via Degreed, please note that using "Always Start Interaction from Scratch" will still result in an item being shown as "complete" after it has been opened, regardless of where else it might be assigned.
