CredSpark is an advanced form and interactive content tool that allows you to create and deploy question-based content – such as quizzes, surveys, and polls – directly within your Omeda workflows.
Accessing CredSpark in Omeda
To access CredSpark within Omeda:
- Navigate to Acquire → Forms → Interactions.
- If you do not see this option, contact your Client Success Manager to have it enabled for your organization.
Once enabled, all users in your organization with access will see the Interactions dashboard. Content is shared within your team: you can view your teammates' interactions, and they can view yours.
Note: If a teammate does not have access to Omeda but needs to use Interactions, they can access CredSpark externally. Contact your Client Success Manager for details.
What can you do with Interactions?
- Create quizzes, surveys, and polls.
- Import demographic questions or create new ones.
- Import other Omeda questions: contacts, newsletters, deployments, behaviors.
- Automatically return responses to imported questions directly to Omeda via API (no mapping or webhook needed).
- Deploy interactions using personalization modals or embed codes.
Creating and Importing Questions
To create content, click "New" in the dashboard and select the type of interaction you want to build.
After selecting a content type, you’ll have three options for adding questions:
1. Add Question
- Create native CredSpark question types like Rating, WordPlay, HotSpot, and Drag & Drop.
- These are ideal for engagement and interactivity but responses are not automatically sent to Omeda.
2. Generate with AI (Quiz only)
- Use AI to quickly generate quiz content.
- This button is great for brainstorming and fast content creation, but it is not integrated with Omeda.
3. Omeda Questions
- Choose from Contacts, Demographics, Newsletters, Deployments and Behaviors.
- Responses are automatically sent to Omeda if a respondent’s email or Olytics ID is present.
- Only questions available in your current Omeda profile will display. Switch profiles if needed.
We recommend starting with Omeda Questions for any data you need returned to Omeda. These questions are directly integrated, and responses are sent automatically – no extra setup required.
To import Omeda Questions:
- Click “Omeda Questions” button
- Use the + Add button or select multiple and click + Add Question at the top.
If you don’t see a needed demographic, click + Create Demographic (available to authorized users only).
Note: Demographics created within the CredSpark question modal will automatically sync and appear in the selection table. If you create a new demographic directly in Omeda (outside the CredSpark modal), click the “Re-sync” button to update the list and make it available for import.
Editing Omeda Questions
- Imported questions show an Omeda icon.
- Click the pencil icon to edit.
- You can adjust the wording, but the answer choices must remain logically consistent.
- Only answer choices with a value ID will be sent back to Omeda.
- If you add a new response option, it will not be passed back to Omeda automatically. To enable syncing, add the new response to the demographic in Omeda’s Manage Database, then remove the question from the form and re-add it. This ensures the updated response list is reflected properly.
Tip: Hover over the demographic ID to view its description.
Profiling Options
When using Omeda questions, use the Profiling tab to control behavior for returning users:
- Display question and pre-fill: If the user has previously answered this question and there is already a value in the Omeda database, this setting will pre-fill that data point so the user can confirm it or update it.
- Display question, do not pre-fill: Presents the question as new, requiring a fresh response.
- Do not display question: If the user has previously answered this question there is already a value in the Omeda database, this setting skips the question for a quicker experience.
Note: Newsletters, Deployments and SMS types will only have two options: Display question and pre-fill and Do not display question.

Exporting Data
- Responses to Omeda questions are automatically sent back to Omeda, provided that:
- The interaction is completed (the user clicks Finish or reaches the Results View), and
- The user has either an email address or an Olytics ID associated with their session.
To ensure your data is exported correctly:
- Always include an Email question in your interaction.
- Set the email question to "Do not display if known" – this ensures a smooth experience for known users while capturing emails from new users.
- Exception: when all users are known (e.g., behind a login wall) – Omeda will pass the Olytics ID directly to CredSpark, and collecting email again is not necessary.
What about Non-Omeda Questions?
Questions created using CredSpark-native tools or AI generation are not automatically linked to Omeda.
Delivering Interactions
You can deliver your interactions in multiple ways. The easiest and most seamless method is to use Omeda Personalization.
Omeda Personalization
- Navigate to Acquire → CDP → Personalized Content
- Click New → Personalization
- At Step 4, select Embed Omeda Forms
- Choose your interaction from the modal (note: only published interactions will appear)
All published interactions created by any user in your organization will be available in the modal. This allows team members to reuse and repurpose content across campaigns.
This method allows you to embed CredSpark interactions directly into your personalization campaigns – no manual setup required.
Other Delivery Methods
You can also deliver interactions using:
- Embed on a website – insert the embed script into your page’s HTML
- Embed in an email – use the Q1 email embed format
- Direct link – shareable URLs for quick access. Keep in mind that Omeda tracking does not work on direct links. This means we cannot pre-fill known questions or identify the user. To pass information to Omeda, you must include an email question in the direct link.
For detailed setup steps and examples, refer to the Delivery Methods Guide.
Using Promo Codes / Promo Keys (PK)
Promo Keys let you see where your responses are coming from - like whether someone clicked from your website, an email campaign, or another channel. Each response carries the promo key you set, making it easy to segment your reporting.
Default Setting
- By default, responses coming through Omeda questions use the promo key “CredSpark.”
- Personalizations also include a promo key automatically.
- You can change this default or add your own.
Setting Your Own Promo Key
Want to track by campaign or channel? Just add your own promo key.
1. Open the Delivery tab → Promo Key Settings.
2. Enter a value (for example: website, summer_campaign).
3. That value will:
- Be added to your direct link
- Show up in your reporting
- Be sent to Omeda instead of the default ‘CredSpark’ promo key
How Promo Keys Work
- If you don’t set anything, the default CredSpark key is used.
- If you add one in settings, your custom key is used.
- If you change the value in the link or embed code itself, that link value overrides the rest.
Auto-Detect from Parent URL
If your page’s URL already includes a pk, CredSpark will automatically capture it.
Example: https://example.com/article?pk=home
Using Promo Key with Q1 Email Embed
You can also use promo keys when embedding interactions via the Q1 Email feature. Whether you're sharing a direct link or embedding it within your website, blog, or other digital property, make sure to include the promo key value directly in the URL.
This step is essential to ensure the promo key is passed accurately to Omeda and properly tracked within your data reports.
Need More Than Promo Keys?
If you want to track other details (like campaign ID, source, etc.), you can use Hidden Fields. See our guide on Hidden Fields for more.
Reporting
CredSpark offers multiple reporting options to help you analyze and interpret the data collected through your interactions. Navigate to the Data & Analytics tab to access the following:
Overview
- A high-level summary of your interaction's progress
- Includes funnel view and main stats to help you understand performance at a glance
- Learn more here
Reports
- View a summary of your responses with visual charts and graphs
- Customize the look and feel of the charts
- Filter and segment your data
- Share visual insights with third parties
- Learn more here
Individual Engagement
- View detailed, row-by-row response data
- Includes all information captured in the quiz, survey, or poll
- Learn more here
Important: The data shown in CredSpark Reporting reflects all responses collected, whether it may be Omeda Questions or non-Omeda questions via the interaction. However, this does not necessarily mean that all of this data, specifically non-Omeda questions, will be sent back to Omeda.
To review or report on data that was sent to Omeda, use Omeda’s internal CredSpark Interaction Submission Report.
Deleting Responses
If you have test responses you want to remove from your data set, navigate to the Individual Engagement tab, select the response(s), then right click and select “Delete from database.”
Querying Data via Audience Builder
A new folder, Interactions, has been added to Audience Builder. It includes fields such as Promo Key, Date Range, and Form Selection, which allow you to target users based on specific promotional interactions and form submission behaviors. These fields can be used on their own or in combination with other Omeda data points, such as demographics, behavioral data, or subscription status, to build more refined audience segments.
