We’ve built a way to select the model you use with our AI-powered features. By default, your organization is set to use the CredSpark provider. This uses OpenAI models through CredSpark’s built-in integration and API key - no setup is needed on your end.
However, we know many organizations have preferred or required AI providers. With this new capability, you can choose from supported options such as CredSpark (default – uses OpenAI via our API key), OpenAI-compatible API, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Azure, or Google Vertex AI - so the AI behind your CredSpark experience fits your needs and complies with your internal security protocols.
Note: This feature is currently in beta and requires a custom permission to access. If you'd like to enable it for your organization, just contact us and we’ll help you get started.
How to Enable and Configure
Once the feature is enabled for your organization:
- Go to Admin Settings → AI Settings.
- Ensure "Enable AI Usage for Organization" is toggled on.
- From the Provider dropdown, select your desired AI provider.
- Enter the required credentials for that provider.
Note: Each provider has different credential requirements. If you don’t have access to these, please reach out to your IT or security team.
After setup, we recommend using the Generate with AI feature to confirm the connection is working correctly.
Important: If you change the provider and later want to return to the default configuration, make sure to select CredSpark (not OpenAI).
IMPORTANT NOTE: The OpenAI option is for organizations that want to use their own OpenAI account and API key. If you select OpenAI without entering valid credentials, AI features will stop working and you won’t be able to generate content.
Security & Privacy
When using client-provided AI models, all queries and data are processed through your organization's chosen AI provider using your own credentials and configurations. The web application acts as a secure proxy, routing your data directly to your specified AI service using encrypted HTTPS connections. This architecture ensures that your sensitive data remains within your organization's established AI provider relationship, maintaining full data ownership under your existing agreements with that provider. By using your own AI provider, you retain complete control over data governance, compliance with industry regulations, and adherence to your organization's security policies, as all data processing occurs within the boundaries of your chosen AI service according to the terms and conditions you have established directly with that provider.
